Why do you get out of bed in the morning?
Is it because your kids need you? You have to make money? The world expects it of you?
I recommend a purpose.
And not just any one.
Something bigger than yourself that you feel called to change.
"Heal the people in this world from trauma and child sexual abuse."
That's mine.
It's specific and can never be fully realized.
But that's the point.
I want a goal that I can work towards my whole life.
I want to shoot for the moon (an ideal) and land among the stars.
I want a purpose, that by the end of my life, I can look back and say: "Yeah I made a dent in that."
And even if you're 30, 50, 70, 100 years old – it's never too late to work toward something you believe in.
